Weston’s Wetland

The landholders of Weston’s Wetland have been actively caring for the environment for many decades.

This wetland provides refuge for thousands of waterbirds including threatened species such as brolgas.

The wetland today only fills in very wet years from runoff, requiring targeted flows to achieve a more ‘natural’ watering regime.

Working closely with the landholders, we aim to maintain and improve wetland vegetation, and provide habitat for frogs and waterbirds including brolgas.
