Coomealla Lagoons
With support from the Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club and Wentworth Shire Council, we are rehabilitating three small lagoons at the Coomealla Golf Course Dareton, western NSW.
The Coomealla Golf Course Lagoons have been managed for environmental outcomes since 2020-21. Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club delivers a small annual Environmental Water Trust donation to keep the lagoons topped up all year.
Local schools are now using this site for educational purposes and to collect water bugs! Bush walkers and bike riders are now frequenting the lagoons. These lagoons are small, however provide an opportunity to reconnect with nature in an urban setting.
